BROOKSIDE COMMUNITY CLUB EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING – 3/12/01

Attendees: Denis & Lynda Menton, Kathleen Salerno, Howard Helms, Sandy Almassy, Sara Czarecki, Jesse Smith, Betty Conable, Fran Plodkowski, Irene Daley, and Tracey Morrison.

The meeting was called to order by Denis Menton at 7:30PM.

President’s Report: Denis Menton said that attorneys for a previous garbage collector (Filiberto, since having gone out of business) threatened to file suit against us for $100K for garbage that Filiberto picked up since 1970.  Denis talked to various persons in the Twp. who recommended that we send the attached letter, which  the Executive Committee endorsed.

Buildings and Grounds: Jesse Smith gave the Buildings and Grounds report, which is attached.

Betty Conable agreed to reserve May 7 through 11 to repair a roof truss.

Rentals:  Betty Conable said that we are rented through June, with some for next year, and one for 2003.

Membership:  Sara Czarecki circulated a draft of the Newsletter, which includes a retrospective of last year’s Club activities.  It has been a year since the last newsletter.

Social and Fund Raising:  May 19 is the date for the spring party.

Sept. 8 is the Fireman's Clambake

Nov. 17 is the Holiday Boutique (contact is Fran Plodkowski)

Social & Fund Raising: The Easter Egg hunt will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday April 14th.

July 4th: Diane Dinklege is arranging for bands.   We still are looking for a Fourth of July organizer.  Meeting adjourned at 8:27 PM (shortest meeting yet!).

After this meeting, Lynda Menton held a Social Committee meeting to plan the above events.

Next Meeting:  It will be held at the Community Club on 7:30 PM on Monday, April 9, 2001.
