Litigation: Nothing has been heard about the Coombs Fill suit since June.
Roland and Ann George are selling their house and moving to Tennessee. In view of their many years of service, we should give them a gift certificate for a dinner at a nearby restaurant. Dennis will do that and give Carole the bill.
Square Dancing: Pat Zimmerman said that she and Sarah Flaherty would like the Community Club to sponsor a square dance on March 1, 8, or 29th tentatively. She will schedule this social event after checking with Tracey about open dates.
Buildings and Grounds: Jesse’s report is attached.
Jesse reported that there is a need for additional heating registers, which may be placed in the closets after their doors are shaved to allow greater airflow.
The outside lighting was repaired, and the sprinkler was prepared for the winter.
The house at the northeast corner of our property requires a CO that cannot be obtained without removal of a parking area and shed on our property. We will not get involved in this, which is between the town and the owner.
Piano repair: The Women’s Club paid for half of the piano repair.
Social & Fund Raising: For the New Year’s Eve party, we have come to agreement with the DJ, and Lynda obtained a quote for the caterer. The current cost estimate is about $91 per person, but Lynda will try to obtain a better quote.
Christmas Tree Party: Gary and Sandy will put up and take down the tree. Someone might also put up a tree outside.
The Holiday Boutique will be held on Dec. 23.
Adjournment: We adjourned at 8:55.
Next Meeting: The next meeting of the Executive Committee will be held on Jan. 13, 2003. If something urgent comes up before then, a meeting will be held on Dec. 9, 2002 at 7:30 PM in the Community Club (you’ll be informed if it this meeting is convened).
Respectfully submitted, Howard Helms, Secretary
