Building & Grounds: We
received two quotes for air conditioning.
For $9K, the Sanyos consist of two units, each providing 3 tons of air
conditioning. Another bid was for an
Arco Air unit for $7K. Both bids
include a one year warranty for parts & labor plus 5 years warranty for
parts. We need $1K of electrical
work. We voted unanimously in favor of
the Sanyo unit, which is the top of the line.
Paul Hogan will redo
the front steps, but we haven’t found a mutually acceptable a date yet.
The springs in the
Pella doors between the kitchen and the main room have been replaced. Spare springs may be found in the
maintenance closet.
Denis Menton reported
that the new event-sign will be erected by the Twp. Road Dept. after he repairs
the sign and drives stakes into the ground.
Membership:
Jan Steinberg reported
that 165 former members have renewed their membership.
4th of July: Several
persons volunteered to be of help, but we need to find persons to help to
coordinate and publicize the event.
Veronica O’Neil will be chairman.
Lynda Menton will call a 4th of July committee meeting on
Monday, March 27 at 7:30 pm. Anyone who
is interested is welcome to come.
For the parade, we
would like to identify World War II vets in Brookside.
Social and Fund Raising: We
have a committee for the Easter egg hunt.
Next Meeting:
The next meeting of the Executive Committee of the Community Club will be held
at 7:30 PM on Monday, April 10, 2000 at the Community Club, Brookside.
