About the Community Club
Since 1923
Brookside, NJ, nestled within Mendham Township in Morris County, is a charming community rich in history dating back to the early 18th century. Originally a hub for mills and farms, Brookside grew along the banks of the India Brook, which powered the town’s early industries and lent it a pastoral, scenic setting. Known for its well-preserved historic homes, tree-lined streets, and tight-knit community, Brookside has retained much of its small-town charm and historical significance. The Brookside Historic District, now on the National Register of Historic Places, offers a glimpse into the architecture and lifestyle of early American settlers, while annual traditions like the Brookside Fourth of July Parade underscore the community’s pride in its heritage.
